OTHER PLACES
In Via Boldrini in front of Lane Roncalli, there is San Carlo Borromeo's Church, founded in 1724 by the San Carlo's Brotherhood and finished in 1736. In the square in front of the former Exposition Place there is the Monument to the Italian cobler. On the area occupied since 1836 by the "tettoie Militari" (Military penthouses) is now the Parri Park opened to the pubblic in the 70's. In Via Madonna dei Sette Dolori there is the Church of the Addolorata. It is a baroque church founded by bishop Odescalchi on the 3rd May 1613.The Church Madonna degli Angeli was built in 1853 in the street with the same name between Via Pisani and Via Bretti, on the spot where there was a Chapel erected by Galeazzo Maria Sforza who wanted to thank the Madonna for a harmless fall from his horse. In the first road on the left after the level crossing of Via Santa Maria you will see Santa Maria intus Vineas, surely the most ancient church in Vigevano. Built before one thousand among the vinegars which sourrounded in large number the village, it recalls the ancient times for the portico surrounding the cell, nowadays present only in the front part. Even in its small form it has a squared basilical structure evident also from the semicircular plant of the abse (visible from the outside). Somewhere on the walls a fresco dating between 1200 and 1300 has appeared from under the paints.
