SHORT NOTE
Chiesa del Carmine
With a baroque faìade built in 1724 and a tower bell dating from the end of 17th century, it contains a wonderful inlaid marble altar built in 1656 which reproduces an ox, the symbol of the "Ploughmen's University" (an ancient corporation of farmers). The church is now known as the "Madonna del Carmine" because since 1602 the Brotherhood of the Madonna of Carmelo have been having their seat here.
